  8.   MATTERS OF STATE is a great learning
  9.  
  10. aid for anyone interested in learning
  11.  
  12. more about the United States.
  13.  
  14.   You have three options to pick from:
  15.  
  16.  1.  What state am I?
  17.  2.  Capitals
  18.  3.  My neighbors are...
  19.  
  20.   From the main menu, press the number
  21.  
  22. of the quiz you wish to try.  To exit
  23.  
  24. any quiz, press the RUN/STOP key
  25.  
  26. once.  This will return you to the
  27.  
  28. main menu. To exit the game press the
  29.  
  30. RUN/STOP key while viewing the menu.
  31.  
  32. This will give you your averages from
  33.  
  34. all the quizzes you tried (and your
  35.  
  36. overall average).  Keep in mind, when
  37.  
  38. answering questions, that you are
  39.  
  40. being timed as part of your score.
  41.  
  42.   If you pick 'What State Am I?', you
  43.  
  44. will be given a few clues to help you
  45.  
  46. along.  Keep trying to type in the
  47.  
  48. correct state.  If you do not get the
  49.  
  50. right answer before your time runs
  51.  
  52. out, you will be shown the answer.
  53.  
  54.   In 'Capitals', you are presented
  55.  
  56. with a multiple choice question about
  57.  
  58. a state and its capital.  Press the
  59.  
  60. letter of the answer that you think is
  61.  
  62. the correct capital for the state in
  63.  
  64. question.
  65.  
  66.   If you choose to play 'My Neighbors
  67.  
  68. Are...', then you will be shown the
  69.  
  70. names of the states that border the
  71.  
  72. state in question.  Try to think of
  73.  
  74. the state that borders all of the
  75.  
  76. other states that are named.  Again,
  77.  
  78. type in your answers as fast as you
  79.  
  80. can.  If you don't get the right
  81.  
  82. answer, keep on trying.
